The theme of MySEC'08 is "Empowering Software towards the Development of Human Capital". It reflects the major challenges currently faced by software community to
ensure software developed have the value-added characteristics that not only computerize users' tasks but also support them in nurturing and developing
the human capital. For instance, nowadays there are a lot of web applications for e-learning and e-community that provide forum as the medium
for knowledge sharing or communication. However without proper design, such features can be underutilized if they are not able to attract users to share
their knowledge or communicate effectively online.
Thus, MySEC'08 provides a platform for collaborations among academia, researchers, and practitioners with the focus to increase the awareness that
they can improve the techniques, methods and tools of software in order to develop human capital particularly in knowledge sharing. |
