On 31st of October 2008, 25 students and 15 teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pokok Sena (SMKPS) visited our Terrapin Head-starting Facilities in UMT.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who attended our Annual TRRG Reunion held on Nov 5th @ Aquaria KLCC.
After 10 days and 6 blog posts of trying to persuade our volunteers to support us by attending our annual reunion, here were are, two days before the reunion.
We do have a couple of fun stuff lined up for you guys — And the best thing is that you can eat your dinner while I talk about our achievements in 2008 as well as our plans for 2009 so that you aren't hungry and irritated!
To all of you who are attending the reunion, we ask that you wear an item with a turtle motif. It could be a turtle necklace, or a pair of turtle earrings, or a turtle bracelet or anklet, or even a turtle T-shirt. Anything (turtle) at all!
Here's a sneak preview of some of the items that will be auctioned during the reunion.
"Russian auction" is for everybody -- regardless of whether you're working or just a student. As long as you are interested enough in a particular item, and have a little cash, you could just walk away with the auction item.
If you have already signed the pledge NOT to eat turtle eggs for the rest of your life, we would like you to sign the petition again, because we have also included an appeal to the Malaysian Department of Fisheries and the Terengganu State Government to ban the collection, sale and consumption of turtle eggs.
