The Academic and Internationalization Division is responsible for the following:
New student intake
The division is responsible for managing new student intake for every new academic year. The division works closely with the Student Intake and Enrollment Division of the Department of Malaysian Higher Education, issues offer letters to students, and prepares new student manuals.
Student registration
The division is responsible for managing the student registration for each semester. This includes coordinating the pre-registration process for the new semester during the 12th and 13th week of the current semester, handling requests for deferment of studies, processing applications for programme transfer.
Class timetables
The division is responsible for the scheduling of classes for each programme at UMT.
Examination results
The division is responsible for managing the student examination results. The process includes scheduling the final examinations at the end of the semester, issuing policies and procedures on final examinations to the lecturers, and issuing the results to students.
Convocation
The division is responsible for coordinating the university convocation. The process includes issuing graduation forms to final semester students early in the semester, producing a list of graduating students after the final examination, and issuing convocation notices to the graduates.
Academic policies
The division is responsible for the updating of academic policies when there are amendments or when new policies are enforced.
