Logo and Philosophy
UMT logo was formed using several elements such as colour and images, summarised and composed conscientiously.
Orange: Symbolises the elements of new technology the university is based on for the advancement of research.
White: Symbolises the sanctity of knowledge as required by the religion and benefitting society and nation.
Purple: Symbolises natural resources which help to produce holistic graduates who are able to contribute to the advancement of religion and nation.
Grey: Symbolises students who possess preserverence in learning and disseminating knowledge to the new generation and nation.
Triangle: Symbolises a dynamic and sound academic organization. The spiral orbit and the atom represent the simplified elements of technology namely wave, fibre and wireless.
Coral: Represents Marine Biology, ecosystem and research in protecting the marine heritage, which is the niche research area of the university.
