Field damage of crops caused by nematodes have been overlooked and attributed to abiotic or non-nematode biotic causal agents. This lecture discusses on the perception on the nematode pest as myth, relating to the agriculture crops of the country, the nematodes itself and current agriculture practices in food crop production.
