This programme integrates data science, statistics, machine learning, and mathematics in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0). It adopts a 2u2i model, consisting of 2.5 years of university-based study and 1 year of industry-based learning. Students will also obtain the SAS Certificate known as the “SAS Academic Specialisation in Data Analytics.”

The curriculum is fully integrated to meet the growing demand for highly skilled data analysts who can analyse large volumes of data across various disciplines and transform them into actionable information for decision-making.

The programme also aims to address the high industry demand for business and data analysts. Graduates will be trained in the latest data analysis methods, concepts, and tools used to interpret data in various forms, equipping them with relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies.

Students will have the opportunity to work with industry partners through four Work-Based Learning (WBL) courses during their final year, involving real-world industry projects related to IR4.0.

The 2u2i mode of study exposes students to real-life learning and practice directly from industry practitioners. This training adds value to their qualifications and enhances their employability.
