The Journal of Sustainability Science and Management (JSSM) published by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) was accorded the Crème Potential Status at the Malaysia’s Research Star Award and Jurnal Crème Recognition 2019 ceremony held at the Zenith Hotel, Putrajaya, recently.

The recognition was given to the journal in light of its excellent performance, high quality, and successful strategies for increasing its visibility at the global level.

JSSM current editor-in-chief Prof. Dr Mhd Ikhwanuddin Abdullah said that the journal’s achievement today was made possible by the former editor-in-chief who had held the post since 2006 and was also instrumental in having the journal indexed in SCOPUS in 2009.

“I’m grateful that JSSM was accorded the Crème Potential Status 2019. Thank you to UMT top management particularly the Vice Chancellor and the Deputy Vice Chancellors for supporting the publication of JSSM,” Prof Mhd Ikhwanuddin said.

He also said that JSSM will be receiving a recognition from Web of Science (Main Collection) next year for core collection. The team is also making an effort to have the journal included in the Potential Science Citation Index for this year before the full citation next year.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Dr Nor Aieni Mokhtar congratulated the JSSM team on the recognition.

“Congratulations and well-done JSSM team on the hard work put in to position the journal as a high-impact publication and obtaining the Crème Potential Status 2019,” she said.
