First Hajj pilgrimage course for 2022 held at UMT

About 700 Hajj pilgrimage candidates for 2022 from Terengganu are attending a Hajj pilgrimage course at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

The courses is organized by UMT’s Sultan Mahmud Islam Centre (PISM) in collaboration with Lembaga Tabung Haji Malaysia.

PISM is always willing to consider offers from other agencies to collaborate for the benefits of the people, said Dr. Riswadi Azmi, PISM director.

“Sultan Mahmud Islamic Centre is not only a place for religious activities for students and staff, but it is also open to the public.

“The centre has the needed facilities and space that enable Hajj pilgrimage courses to be conducted here in an audience-friendly atmosphere.

“The replicas of Kaabah and other items will help to create similar environment as in Meccah, which will enable candidates to better learn and understand, which will increase their likelihood of obtaining Haji Mabrur.

“We welcome the public to visit the mosque to make the House of Allah merrier.

“We also offer advice on religious matters.

Meanwhile, according to Tabung Haji, the courses will be given to candidates who have been selected.

The course currently being held is the first course for Terengganu for 2022
