Let past experiences shape 2023’s success

Gone is 2022, a year filled with a series of unfortunate events affecting all.
At the beginning of 2022, Malaysia was still affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and many of the citizens were still struggling to get back on their feet again, although it had been three years since the outbreak first started. The mask-wearing was still enforced for several months heading into the year, and Covid-19 tests were still carried out as part of precautions.
In November, the country witnessed no single party obtaining a simple majority in the 15th general election, resulting in a hung parliament. In the end, a unity government was formed, with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister, at the command of His Majesty The Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, who wished to ensure the country’s stability and harmony.
Towards the end of the year, several areas in the east coast states, Terengganu, Kelantan, Pahang, were hit with major floods. As a result of the natural disaster, citizens in the affected areas became physically and mentally exhausted when all their belongings, house items, vehicles, reared animals, vanished in the blink of an eye. Even more saddening was the tragedy involving three siblings who died at their flooded home because of electrical shock. Their parents must be deeply affected by the event after having lost most of their properties.
However, life must go on! And it starts with the new year. Now is the time to fill it with sweet memories to be remembered in the future.
Let’s begin the first day of the next 365 days by aiming to achieve all the goals. Leave behind all the unkind experiences and focus on the present and future. We owe it to ourselves to be victorious.
May 2023 give us more strength to go through hard times to attain success. May we become among those who know how sweet the taste of success is.
