KUALA NERUS—The week leading up to this year’s observance of the month of Ramadhan seemed like the right time for UMT Bursar’s Office to hold its annual charity programme Happy Box. At the programme aptly called Happy Box Ramadhan Pack 2020@1441, the office distributed the packs to 33 cleaners and groundskeepers who serve the Bursar’s Office and its Finance Zones.

The packs were given away by the Happy Box Team led by UMT Bursar Puan Fauziah Mahmud at the Bursar’s Office on 19^th April.

Each pack contained 14 staple food items, such as rice, flour, sugar, rice noodles, and condensed milk.

Puan Fauziah said that the packs were given to the workers as a sign of the office’s appreciation for their contributions.

She said that aside from being one of UMT Bursar’s Office Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, the Happy Box programme is a way of sharing the keeps with the workers. It is hoped that the packs will help with their observance of the holy month. 

Puan Fauziah said that the Bursar’s Office staff who participated in this year’s programme either sponsored the items or donated money for the items’ purchases.
