Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) has been awarded a 5-star rating by the Public University Data Collection System (MyMoheS) for 2021.

MyMoheS was introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) as an instrument to evaluate the capability of higher education institutions’ systems to disseminate information and store student, staff, and research data.

The rating is awarded based on the criteria and characteristics set by the ministry, and these consist of time of delivery (20%), completeness of data (40%), and quality of data (40%).

UMT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazlan Abd Ghaffar said that the high rating UMT has received has made the staff feel recognized and honoured.

“Alhamdulillah, UMT managed to earn a 5-star rating for MyMoheS for 2021,” he said. “Even more remarkable is the fact that UMT is among the three public universities out of 20 with a score of 100%.

“UMT will continue to strive to obtain excellent achievements and ratings at both the national and international levels.

“Congratulations and well done to UMT staff who are always committed in their work to ensure that UMT continues its excellence.”

Since its establishment, UMT has achieved various recognitions, including being ranked in the Times Higher Education (World University Rankings), Times Higher Education (Impact Rankings), Times Higher Education (University Rankings By Subject), QS World University Rankings, QS University Rankings (Asia), UI GreenMetric, Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA), and SETARA.
