KUALA TERENGGANU—Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) will be setting up a special online forum to help those in the fisheries industry following the government’s enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO).  

Associate Professor Dr Marina Hasan, Director of UMT Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries (AKUATROP), said that this UMT-initiated Forum on Aquaculture Services (FORAS) will be providing aquaculture services, such as consultation and expert assistance. The forum will be set up through the Webex application.

During the forum, entrepreneurs, aquaculture farmers, and fishermen can ask questions and engage in two-way interactions with AKUATROP’s aquaculture and fisheries experts, she said.

Dr Marinah also said that initially FORAS will be held online for one hour from 10 to 11 every Sunday and Tuesday morning. The first session has been scheduled on 12 April.
